What to Do After Over Eating:

So, it was much better value to buy the large size trifles, nobody would eat the last of the chocolates or your kind neighbour brought you a double chocolate fudge cake and you had your wicked way with it. It happens, one day is bad enough but when it goes on for days, remember it doesn’t have to spiral into a bad habit.
Get back on track now:
STOP. Don’t let one bad day or one extra mouthful of cream send you into a never ending abyss. Take control of yourself by accepting what’s done is done and making your next choice a sensible one.
Hydrate. Give your body the hydration it needs to work through the junk you’ve just eaten. Drink plenty of water and give yourself at least 3-4 hours before eating anything again, so that your digestive system can focus on processing or start over the next day.
Move. Go for a brisk walk, hit the gym or get with the rhythm for the after party clean up. You’ll feel better about yourself, get your circulation flowing and your lymphatic system pulsing. Fresh air is good to clear your head if you can get out and about.
Be nice. Whatever your reasons for going out of control, stress, party season, boredom, whatever it was, it doesn’t matter now, don’t beat yourself up about it. Be the good friend to yourself that you should be, and decide you are going to be healthy again.
Green juice. It really is the best detox. Don’t drink a green juice directly after eating badly, but wait until the next day and start your morning with one instead of breakfast and wait an hour or two to eat. This will allow your body some time to rejuvenate itself.
If you know you will have an occasion coming up where you may be likely to overeat, take control and prepare by having a green juice that morning, eat a big salad with plenty of nutrients for lunch, and enjoy the binge, when it comes. It’s more of an indulgence than an overindulgence if it’s planned.
Remember too that when you think your skin has escaped the effects of the binge, it will take from five to ten days for the effects of the bad habits to show and on the flip side it will take the same amount of time for the effects of a diet of healthy choices to be seen in the condition of your skin.
