Wake up to a new day.
it could be ‘thank goodness I’m alive, well and healthy’.
Your first thought can set you up and can have a huge affect on your mood for the rest of the day. You see every day is a new day, and every day brings new challenges. How often have you said “Im not putting myself in that position again” only to find yourself in similar circumstances again and again. Life can have a funny way of challenging us, especially those of us that like to learn and grow, and when we are in growth stuff can come at us, at a strangely super fast speed.
A frame of mind is just exactly that…. It’s the structure, framework or scaffolding that we erect to support us. You pick the framework and if you decide to pick a structure that says “ Im contented, happy, well and lucky to have new experiences and challenges” you will certainly have a better day than setting up a framework that says “Omg, Im so tired, and I have to do this and that today”…. Its your decision…….you choose.
Heres what works for me:
Before getting out of bed, take a few moments for yourself and remind yourself what you are grateful for. Next, set your intention for the day. It must be in the positive for example instead of thinking… “ I hope I don’t forget my notes”, say something like “ I will bring my notes and be confident and speak from the heart”. Another example could be instead of “ I will try not to fight with my daughter today” you could think “ I will enjoy my daughters company today”. Once you have clearly identified how you want your day to go, take a deep breath and visualise it happening. One or two minutes does the trick. This takes a little practice but you will find after a few days, you can get through the major events for the whole day in about 30 seconds.
Give yourself enough time to enjoy your shower and look after yourself. You are no good to anyone else if you don’t look after yourself. Take a few minute to rub in your body balm or cream, you deserve it. If you find yourself constantly rushing in the morning, you might need to get up ten minutes earlier, or possibly go to bed ten minutes earlier. People often look at chunks of time on hours, break it down, There’s a lot you can get done in ten minutes.
Enjoy a glass of water. Water will flush out toxins, you can put a squeeze of lemon in it to help balance the bodies pH, and energise your senses.
Awaken to a better day and if your day turns out to be a disaster, you can start over again tomorrow and remember you are amazing.
