Are your dark circles driving you mad?
Are your eyes tired?
Do you have too much screen time?
Did you inherit your dark circles or under eye bags?
While there are limited number of things that you can do to get rid of dark circles and under eye bags topically, our eye gel serum being one of them, there are definitely things that make them worse. If, however, they are genetic, you are a bit more limited in what you can do to improve them.
Skin colouring more prone to under eye circles are more prevalent on red-headed extremely pale skin tone and also on darker-toned Asian skin type. If you can see dark circles, and to your knowledge, there is no particular reason for them, look at your parents or your immediate family. If they also have them, you’re probably genetically inclined to have them, and the results you will get from a cream, gel or serum will not be as effective as it will be on application to the dark circles you get from being tired, overworked, illness or dehydration but regular application of a good eye gel will certainly take the edge off and give you some brightening and lift depending on the formula.
The saying ‘the eyes are windows to the soul’ is so true as the eyes are literally windows to what is going on inside the body. When you are blessed with youth and good health, the eyes will be clear, bright and the skin around the eyes will be even toned and coloured. However, if youth is not on your side, then a good eye gel serum is a must but remember no eye product is a permanent fix for an unhealthy lifestyle, lack of sleep, too much alcohol, bad diet, dehydration, liver problems, smoking or medication.
So what is in our Eye Gel Serum formula and what do the ingredients do:
Hyaluronic acid is a mucopolysaccharide, a type of molecule composed partly of sugars which is actually a natural structural component of skin, and is present in connective tissue throughout the human body. The magic of this ingredient lies in its ability to retain moisture. It’s considered to have a greater capacity to hold moisture than any other natural or even synthetic polymer. In fact, one gram of hyaluronic acid is able to hold up to six litres of water. Hyalluronic acid is important with regard to aging because one of the characteristics of youthful skin is its moisture content. As we age, our skin loses moisture, resulting in a loss of firmness and becomes less pliable. Hyalluronic acid can improve the skin’s moisture content and also strengthen the skin’s natural barrier.
